Mari is a public interest lawyer from California who has practiced immigration law since 2003. She has worked at legal aid offices in Minneapolis, the San Francisco Bay Area and Greater Boston, joining Rian in 2021. She has extensive experience supporting asylees/ refugees and survivors of trauma and is bilingual in English and Spanish. Mari is also passionate about supporting our next generation of lawyers serving as a public interest career counselor at Stanford Law School from 2009-2011. Since 2012 she has mentored undocu*pre-law students with immigration law training and professional development opportunities through Immigrants Rising (formerly E4FC), a San Francisco-based nonprofit organization. Mari has a BA from Pomona College and a JD from Harvard.
