Irish Government Support

The Rian Immigrant Center is deeply grateful to the Government of Ireland for its continued support of Irish people living abroad.  The Irish Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs through the Irish Abroad Unit’s Emigrant Support Program has a longstanding commitment to the Irish diaspora by providing grant support to the Rian Immigrant Center for its support of hundreds of Irish immigrants and exchange students each year. Thanks to this grant, the Rian Immigrant Center offers a range of services to the Irish Community in Boston: immigration legal services, citizenship services, social services, individual counseling, job readiness programs, and support of young Irish students and graduates, who come the U.S. to develop job skills , contribute to the economy, and gain the confidence to contribute to become future leaders in Ireland upon their return home.

Arbella Insurance Foundation

We are especially grateful to the Arbella Insurance Foundation. Their steadfast support of the Rian Immigrant Center enables us to empower more than 3,500 immigrant and refugee families from over 120 countries every year. Together, we have assisted immigrant students through the Arbella Insurance Foundation Immigrant Learning Center. In 2021, Arbella awarded Rian’s Education and Career Advancement Services with a $300,000 grant over three years, enabling us to create a hybrid program that includes both in-person and on-line programs to better serve the needs and learning styles of immigrant learners and expand our career coaching services. We will share our resources with other immigrant-serving organizations including partners in the Massachusetts Immigrant Collaborative.

Cummings Foundation

The Rian Immigrant Center is one of 100 local nonprofits to receive a grant of $100,000 through the Cummings Foundation. On behalf of the immigrant and refugee families that we serve, the Rian Immigrant Center is grateful for their support and is excited to partner with the foundation again over the upcoming four years to provide immigration legal services for those in need in Greater Boston. Our Commonwealth is fortunate to have generous leaders like Joyce and Bill Cummings. Read more about the Cummings Foundation here.

Liberty Mutual Foundation

We are thankful for Liberty Mutual Foundation’s support of Rian’s Legal Aid for Homeless Youth project which has enabled us to provide immigrant youth with increased access to opportunities and success since 2016. More recently, the Liberty Mutual Foundation supported Rian’s COVID-19 response, enabling us to expand critical services for the immigrant community.

Barr Foundation

We thank the Barr Foundation which has stood by Rian Immigrant Center for over fifteen years, supporting programs ranging from our international leadership exchange program to our legal services,  education programs and counseling and other resource and support services.
